I painted this kimono to wear at a wedding that took place on January
21, 1995. The moso bamboo and the bamboo shoots represent the joy of spring. I am really grateful for the boldness of the manager of the Wedding Sawaragi bridal shop, who brought me a wonderful pure-white kimono saying, “Paint on it — it doesn’t matter if you make a mistake.” |
